Work day description: We will be winterizing the gardens at the Felege Hiywot Center. This will include some harvest, removal of old plants, spreading compost and/or mulch. We will also be planting cover crops in the raised beds. We will also be doing similar work at the nearby Unity Park (a Felege community project).

Participants must wear clothes appropriate for outdoor field work. Long pants and closed toe shoes are required (no Crocs, Keens, or similar type). Water, gloves, equipment and a light snack will be provided.

Meeting location: 1648 Sheldon St. Indianapolis, IN. There is street parking along the block.

Unity Park is located on Caroline and Roosevelt and is walkable from Felege. Alternatively, there is parking at and near Unity Park.

Because this will be on-street parking, carpooling for this event is strongly encouraged.
